1) The industrial production index is calculated by type of activities "Mining and quarrying ", "Manufacturing " and " Electricity, gas and water supply" on the basis of time-series on production of representative goods (in kind or in value terms).
The structure of gross value added by economic activities for the base year is used as weights
Adjusted for informal activity.
The time-series of industrial production by kinds of economic activities "mining and quarrying", "manufacturing", "electricity, gas and water production and supply" are revised due to the recalculation of production indices with the new (2008) base year, the implementation of new Russian Classification of Products by kind of Economic Activities, that is harmonized with the Statistical Classification of Products by Activity in the European Economic Community, 2002 version (CPA 2002), as well as having regard to the changes made by business entities in the data on production of goods and services. Revised monthly and quarter Production Indices for 2006-2008 are published in Rosstat monthly bulletin “Socio-economic Situation in Russia” (January – May 2010).

2) Seasonal and calendar adjustments were carried out using the program "DEMETRA 2.2". Time-series are subjects to revise if new statistical data obtained.
