Dagomys – is a wonderful borough situated on the sea-coast of Sochi.    It was here where at the beginning of the century the family of tsar Nikolay the Second bought the land. Years later on the “tsar” place was built Dagomys. So when at the end of the eighties the firm “Mavrovo” built in Dagomys the ultra modern hotel complex, the leader of home “Intourist” was named after the famous health-resort settlement. The hotel “Dagomys” was immediately included in international tourist catalogues and became very popular among foreigners. By the way, the level of international recognition is clearly confirmed by the fact that the famous Pagoushskaya conference of scientists that was opened in 1987 by academician Andrey Sacharov, took place in the very hotel.    There are a lot of cafes, restaurants and small restaurants on the nearby territory. The sports center comprises three swimming pools, tennis courts, a dancing, bars, a policlinic and an entertainment center. The hotel has its own beach. One can get to the beach using the elevators.    It is 14 km from ‘Dagomys” to the railway station of Sochi and 43 km to the airport Adler” (Sochi).    At present the hotel “Dagomys” belongs to one of the properties of the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation.
